I SPY DINNER

I SPY DINNER

Did you ever see a bird wearing such stylish shoes before?  Well me neither but it seems there's a first time for everything especially when Myrtle has a dinner date.

A STORM IN A TEACUP

CROCKERY is our theme at the Three Muses this week and that reminded me of what I saw from my bedroom window a week last Tuesday.  I should mention it was a stormy night and when I drew the curtains against the winds I saw what looked like a tea cup bobbing erratically in our fish pond, and I'm almost certain I saw a strange figure balancing precariously in that very same cup.  To be honest that's when I began to doubt what I was seeing.  And how would a tea cup find its way into the pond anyway!

TAKE A WORD

THE ENTERTAINER

Our theme at Take a Word this week is BLACK AND WHITE which suited me to a tee, because since finding this image on a Flickr Free To Use group last month I've been hitching to create something dramatic and stark!   So having extracted him I gave him a quick paint makeover, added dramatic eyelashes and a subtle shadow and background  ..... and there ya go!

Thanks, Marie, for just the right theme.

THE THREE MUSES

STEAMPUNK HATS is the theme at the Three Muses this week and that reminded me of my college days and Miss Isabella Pink, my art teacher.  She wore very large spectacles, chains regularly dangled from nose to ear, and she had a preoccupation with timepieces.  I remember she liked hats, sometimes very strange hats.  On occasion even STEAMPUNK HATS .... and her head was always in the clouds.

Thank you for looking and if you want to see more steampunk hats then why not pop along to The Three Muses.

TAKE A WORD

Our theme at Take a Word this week is SEWING and that reminded me that if I could actually sew (which I can't) I wouldn't waste my time sewing on buttons and taking up hems I would probably sew a new car or a private jet or some such.  But if they proved a little difficult to do I would make a collage probably looking something like this!
